Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset Review

Logitech G930 Wireless Headset
The Logitech G930 Wireless Headset is possibly the best headset I have ever owned. It boasts features such as 7.1 surround sound, wireless connectivity, Logitech G-Keys, a bendable microphone and voice morphing software, all in one sleek package. For only $110 on Amazon, it surely beats the more expensive headset brands in bang-for-buck ratio.

First Impressions
I found the headset really easy to set up, although it did take me a while in order to realize that I needed to install its software in order to use functions such as G-Keys and surround sound. What I first noticed after I put them on was the noise-isolation. Not being used to noise-isolation, it took me a while to do so. The ear cups are very comfortable, as well as the entire headset itself, although it is a bit heavier than other headsets. However, if you wear glasses like me, you will find it slightly uncomfortable since the ear cups press against your head.

Sound
The 7.1 surround sound was the main feature that made this headset stand out to me. The headset has a switch on the back of one of its ear cups that enables this feature. However, note that you must install Logitech’s Gaming Headset Software in order for this to work. Also, it feels that the bass in this headset is not too particularly powerful.

Wireless Connectivity
Logitech wasn’t lying when it stated that this headset has a wireless range of 40 feet or more. With this headset on, I can walk from my computer at one end of the house to almost the other side of my house with no loss of sound quality.

Battery
The battery in this headset has a 10 hour charge, and the headset can still be used when charging it.

Additional Features
The G930 Headset also has a folding microphone that automatically mutes itself when you push it to an upright position. You can also mute the microphone by hitting the mute button on the side. The microphone can also be bended back and forth. The headset also features 3 G-Keys, which are basically buttons that you can map keys or launch applications from.  For volume control, there is a roller on the left ear cup. The Logitech Gaming Headset Software also has a voice morphing feature powered by Screaming Bee. The software also includes a surround sound mixer and equalizer.

Problems
Sometimes, all the features on the headset will stop working, including the on/off button. This is not really noticeable, as sound will still be playing through the headset. This only seems to happen when charging it after it has run completely out of battery. An easy fix is to reset the headset by putting the end of a paper clip in the reset hole.

Final Verdict
The Logitech G930 Wireless Headset is an amazing product that I highly recommend you buy. With all its main selling features like wireless connectivity and surround sound and also its nice additional features like a bendable microphone and many helpful indicators, this headset is a golden example of Logitech’s dedication to its customers. You can get it for $109.99 compared to the regular 159.99 on Amazon.

Otterbox Commuter Series Galaxy S4 Smartphone Case Review

Today Ill be reviewing the Otterbox Commuter series case for the Samsung Galaxy S4. Ill be reviewing the black edition, but the case also comes in white, marine and a gray and white combination.
The case wraps around the phone and protrudes past the front of the phone providing a good protection zone around the phone.  The commuter series comes with a self adhesive screen protector unlike the defender series which has one built in.

Appearance
The black edition of the case is a wonderful case as it extends the aesthetic of the phone and isn't bulky to the point where it looks like your carrying a brick in your pocket. Rubber covers allow the volume and sleep/wake buttons to be easy to press but still protected. A rubber feeling flap covers the charging outlet on the phone. Not much to say about the screen protector, it works great. The back of the phone has a cutout for the camera and flash.

Functionality
On 2 or 3 occasions I've dropped the phone from a standing height. The case easily protected my phone in all cases, even when I was in a gravel parking lot with sharp rocks.  On the outside of the case is a hard plastic, but under that is a rubber material that absorbs impacts very well.  The case has holes allowing you to plug in a headphone and for the wireless sensors at the top.  If you look at the first picture you can see the screen protector saved me from quite a few scratches on the screen.

Installation
Installing the case on the phone is a breeze.  You first wrap the rubber "skin" around the phone then snap on the black backing.

Conclusion
The Otterbox commuter case is a great case if you want you phone protected from falls and bumps.  I would definitely recommend it as it has saved many dollars of damage from my S4.
Pricing is around $30

Corsair K70 Mechanical Cherry MX Gaming Keyboard Review

Corsair's K60 was a fantastic keyboard, so when I heard they are making a full mechanical version called the k70 I was stoked.  2 months ago I was lucky enough to get my hands on the black anodized aluminum model with cherry switches. Ill separate this review into 3 sections: Appearance, Features and My Experiences using it.
Appearance

The keyboard has red led keys on a anodized black aluminum body.  The keyboard has very little flex, feeling solid with the right about of weight where it stays planted on your desk.  Rubber feet help keep the keyboard and included palm rest firmly in place. The keyboard also comes in a gunmetal aluminum color with blue led keys.  The palm rest has an almost soft touch feel, but if you don't like it you can detach it.

Features
The keyboard has some nice features. The first I'll talk about is the different brightness levels for the led's. They can be completely turned off or have 3 different brightness levels for the led's.  A button switches between all the key on and selected keys turned on. This allows you to chose which keys are turned on especially useful with fps' where WASD are the only keys you need. A button at the top of the keyboard disables the windows key allowing for uninterrupted gaming. In the upper right of the keyboard you will find usual media keys and a volume roller.
Another great feature is the USB pass through.  A USB input at the top of the keyboard is connected to a usb cord that plugs into your computer. I used it for charging my phone as I could have it right near my keyboard

My Experiences
Gaming on this keyboard is a complete joy.  The cherry mx switches are extremely responsive providing nice tactile feedback.  You wont want to go back to your laptop keyboard after using this one. Productivity wise the keyboard is also very good. The keyboard definitely increased my typing speed. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone, Im glad I bought it.

32 Inch Samsung Smart TV review

Samsung releases Amazing 32 inch Smart TV

Amazing picture quality and smart TV connectivity make this 32 incher a great TV not necessarily for home theaters, but for kitchens and bedrooms where a large TV is required. A great TV for the bedroom, use it in the morning with its SMART tv capabilities to browse news sources like USA today for the latest developments. 2 USB ports make it great for the growing number of streaming devices like the chromecast which require both an hdmi and usb port.
